Spring Happenings

Spring is beginning to unfold here on the farm, and signs of a new season are everywhere. Crocus and daffodils fill our sight with bright new colors bringing the promise of longer days and warmer weather.

We have been enjoying embracing our love of baking by producing several different types of sourdough bread as well as our regular oatmeal bread for sale. The kitchens here are regularly filled with the sweet scents of fresh bread. The comfort of warm sourdough dipped in olive oil to accompany any meal is truly a joy!

The chickens have come out of the winter reprieve and are producing beautifully colored eggs again! The challenges of poultry farmers every winter is discovering nests holding only a few eggs each day as cold weather embraces the farm and each animal does its best to preserve heat to stay warm. The cold has lifted, for the most part, and we now run to the coop each evening to discover what our dear feathered friends have left for us.

We are continually grateful for the many blessings we find here on our small bit of land, and look forward to sharing those blessings with others. Stay tuned for more project updates, produce for sale and news we have to share.

Happy Spring, one and all!!
